Tesco do undecorated, iced, yummy wedding cakes :j
I only had ummmm..... errrrrr... 19 to my wedding (inc us) and it didn't really warrant a big ol' wedding cake so I bought a small fruit cake and a bigger sponge one. They were identically iced and looked really pretty with a single pink rose on the top..... think it cost fourteen quid! You can't grumble at that eh?
For a bigger 'do' I'd have bought three sizes and used pillars and lots of fresh flowers.Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
Jay Jay just beat me to Tesco! they do a nice range of pre iced cakes in various sizes both fruit and sponge. If you want to tier them and make them a bit different try using up turned sherry glasses with a small flower inside as the columns.
Personally, I think the simpler the better, but thats just me!,
I have seen some nice ideas with things like profitteroles, fairy cakes etc.
