(Who found out the flue wasn't lined?)
If central heating hasn't been off for more than a week then they dont stand a chance of claiming compo -
Hi Sarah
FLue was discovered not to be there when i arrnaged for the chimney to be swept
Also Ch issues have been dealt with as i have been made aware. Firstly it was cold radiators which needed bleeding (which the tenant swore they had done)
Secondly was fan on boiler gummed up and not pushing the heat round properly leading to luke warm heating as opposed to no heating at all.
Will deffo look in to the association , thanks
Very annoying situation as it costs a fortune to GET a tenant in to a property so the easiest thing to do is keep them happy. that said i dont know if i want people like that in there! QUANDRY!
It is goodwill and not compensation i guess . .. goodwill has to come from our side surely? if they wont accept our (already) goodwill gesture maybe they should just go....?0 -
Hi, just a bit of advice, if you are going to give them a "goodwill payment" I would advise confirm it in writing to the tenants, and only give them the payment after they have vacated the property, that way you can see how they have treated your property, if they trash it, don't pay it to them.
Hey there
have confirmed our thoughts on what we are prepared to offer via email.. it wasnt met with enthusiasm. we were considering £50 now and then £50 for the next five months. I may mention the repayment after vacating though...0 -
