Tesco - Goodmans 7" DVD player with carry case/In car holder - £49.97

Straight from the horses mouth....... i work for Tesco's (Extra store in Cornwall), these players should be on a nationwide offer. Depends on the size of the store though, if you go to a tiddler you won't be in luck but your best bet will be an Extra format store or very large superstore.
We had a whole pallet in on Friday and they have almost gone already- better be quick!

Does anyone know if you can link 2 of these together - play 1 DVD but watch same film on the two screens ? and could you play ps2 on them as well? I know there was a thread a while ago discussing this and you could do it on some players, not sure if it's possible on these. Starting to think of our journey to France later in the year

Just phoned my local tesco to query the £74.97 price tag and was told that the price dropped just fro the weekend as it was just a weekend promotion.
This is the cardiff store by the Heath hospital if any ones thinking of going there.

I bought two of these from Argos last year (cost me more unfortunately)

By connecting all the cables togeher both audio and visual from one player to the other using a connector bought cheap at Maplin. Then setting one player to out and the other to in (slide switch on the side). I can now play a dvd on one machine and watch the the same film on both.

Yes, it should be, but going from memory:

On the remote, press Set up, (symbol: >>| ), (symbol: |<< ), |>>, |<<
After pressing these in that order a number should pop up in the top right corner and should show 255.
If so, then this is Multi Region, but by pressing the up or down buttons bring other numbers though not sure which region they belong to.
After all of that press set up and set up again and that's it!!

I had this same problem in Ipswich, Went to Colchester the next day and found one at £49.99 so i bought it

Lots today just inside the door at Tesco Extra in Watford at £49.97 - going fast though. I picked up one and it seems good, though sticky on a slightly scratched rental DVD. The battery unit charged fully in a couple of hours, it also has cables for mains and car, as wall as links to TV. It has a nice black case which can be used to attach it to the headrest in a car. It has a one year guarantee from Goodmans with the option to extend to 3 using a leaflet inside.

This model only has audio & video out, no switch for setting it to audio & video in. I think it would be possile to use one of these players with a seperate screen, or another dvd player with audio & video in, but not two together.
