yeah the lil black and silver ones i seen them in argos at that price for ages now £39.99If people cant help people on these threads, then they should rather not say anything then say something which isnt any use to the person who needs help0

Bought 1 from Bursledon today. Was a little worried when I saw the "quality assurance" ticket on it. Immediately made me think that they are refurbs.
Even more worried when the customer service lady told me to keep the box and receipt in case it goes wrong.
Opened it up, and it had a LOT of finger prints on the silver top (not sure if I can get them off), a big scratch on the Goodmans logo, and a chip on the inside of it also.
Not sure whether to go back and exchange it, tho it does work fine.
Picture quality is acceptable for £50, and the remote is fine provided you point at it.Be nice0 -

Mine was in perfect condition. They have removed all the dvd players from the boxes so I would assume yours was handled by a "saturday" worker
I would however take it back as you will only keep reminding yourself of the chip and scratch and wish you ha changed it over sooner.
However it is a cracking (no pun!) player and multi region as well

We've got that one. Mostly it's great, but don't leave it plugged in too long. Ours overheated and warped the lid of the dvd compartment. No receipt, paid cash so Tescos weren't interested. 2 emails to Goodmans, no reply.
When it comes to thought, some people stop at nothing.........0 -
does anyone know if there is something i need to do to make this machine play copied dvds? i have tried to play all of my backups and cannot play any of them! thanks in advance for anyones help0

Are your backups -R or +R. Whatever they are, try the other, -R usually work in most players but +R only work in Sony and a few others.0
