Tesco Internet Saver bonus????

Hi all,

I opened a Tesco Internet Saver on 1st Septmber 2008, which until today was 6% with a 1.5% bonus for 12 months

The website now says the rate is 3.6% with no bonus available

Am I right in thinking that my account will now be earning 5.1% (that is, reflecting their cut but still with the 1.5% bonus until 1st September 2009)
????

Yes you are right. Your bonus of 1.5% applies for 12 months. The 1.5% Bonus has now been withdrawn for new account holders aver the last few days.

I applied on 1st Jan on line but the paperwork has only just come through. Presumably I wont get the bonus as the account is not yet funded?

I assume you haven't seen the message on their website?...

No I hadn't thanks. However I am still not clear what they mean about "completed applications received on or by the 7th January".
(1) You fill in the web form and submit
(2) They send the paperwork back to you for signature etc
(3) You send back the signed paperwork and deposit
(4) They receive it back and complete the application

Which point counts as "application received"? (1) or (4)?

100% (1).

Bet you received a confirmation message at the end of the application saying something along the lines of "we have received your application and will be in touch shortly"?

Same boat as anselld.

I can confirm that apps submitted ONLINE before Jan 7th will get the bonus.
I have the paperwork in hand and will be processing over the weekend. With the Bonus this seems the highest payer out there right now.

I was wondering the same thing as mahar. Can anyone find confirmation that the 1.5% bonus is still active, giving 5.1%?

When you applied before Jan 7th the 'Important Information' box on the website confirmed that applications received before Jan 7th were guaranteed the 1.5% bonus, subject to the remaining account security going through OK

ING were last night still offering 5% which includes a bonus for 12 months for new customers.

Sorry to reiterate, but surely depends on what Tesco consider to be an application, as mentioned above. They send you a 'application form' with your details after filling out details on the website, which you must return and nowhere does it mention the bonus. May I ask what makes you so sure its the date of the web application that is relevant? And no, I didn't get any confirmation email.
