  • Took my son to see Bolt at the Preston screening this morning. The doors opened just before 10.10am. At 10.30 there was a short Disney Cars film about Mater & then the main film came on & it was excellent, my six year old loved it & so did my husband - lol!
I would say that it was just over half full - I had expected it to be packed as all the tickets had gone according to the Screenbookings website.

We saw Bolt at Fulham this morning. At 10.20 the shutters for the cinema were still down, at 10.40 we were let into the screen and about another 10 mins wait before the Disney "Cars" short. (which DS absolutely loved).

I liked the film and with having a 3 year old there's no doubt I'll see it again at some point ;). He got a bit restless but not too badly and I was impressed with the free "Times" paper when we left too :D

So what is the concensus on the Sky tickets for "confession of a shopaholic" issued before the Sky site went doolally... Still valid?

i'd say keep trying, altho i'm not a sky customer and never intend to be, i did work for sky call centre for about 5 weeks from sept - oct '08 and generally found the website very difficult to use and prone to problems. the advice we gave to people who wanted to sign up to sky was to do it online to get £5 or £10 off bill, but people would keep calling up saying it wouldn't work. :o

Looks like they released less tickets for today's screenings of "Bolt". My cinema was also half full whereas previously it was more difficult to find a seat and I had made a masterplan of the ideal place to sit this time on the basis of previous bad experiences lol.
Do not like "Cars" so didn't enjoy the short that came first (can't believe there's gonna be a "Cars 2"). Quite enjoyed the film; it had the usual group of cute characters, action and emotion. Story had elements of "Toy Story" 1 & 2 + "The Incredibles" though it was ultimately not as groundbreaking. More suited to the younger kids.

Re: the Orange/BAFTA screenings, do I exchange the coupon just before the film starts or can I go in any day and get the tickets beforehand?

I went to see Bolt today at Doncaster. It was about 3/4 full. A lot of the very young children seemed to be bored. IMO its not one for the under 5/6 year olds. I was pleased when it finished. Reasonable film, but about 15 mins too long!!!!!!!
