Had about 10 minutes of adverts plus started almost 5 minutes late.

Are you referring to the one at west india quays? as I didnt see no adverts, but I know they started it a bit late, security had asked them too as there were still quite a few ppl waiting to go in

at the bottom by reply button. thanks martin and tech people!

saw bruno today. it is very sexually graphic and not for the easily offended. two people walked out of the west india quay screening - which i though was odd as i think the promo's all hinted it was going to be very ott. go watch the trailer for a taster. it is just shock, after shock, after shock. i was genuiely frightened for the gay, camp bruno character on several occassions; i am amazed he didn't get badly hurt (or did he?).

absolutely loved it and can't wait for the lawsuit dramas to begin when the victims find out they have been set up. highly recommended - pay to see if you can't see for free.

thanks so much to you wonderful, wonderful mse coders!

    cheers!

yeap saw two ladies couldn't cope with extreme graphical images and left!!
  • I went to the Cardiff screening no problem getting in the cinema was nice and cool there were quite a few security guards waiting outside and they were really nice as well. The only problem with ours was that the film broke down about 4 times everybody was really good humoured about it only 2 people walked out but i think that was just because we were waiting so long for the film to start up again. I really enjoyed the film the humour was exactly as expected, they had a written warning when we came in saying that if you did not have the right tickets and i.d.you would not be let in. Too be fair i managed to get the tickets with all the details on in the end but the debate about the tickets went on so long that nobody could have really missed it.

The 'Security' at the Bristol Cineworld were pretty pointless. Their sole purpose seemed to be to tell people to turn their phones off.
ID wasn't checked by the staff and they let people in before the security blokes had even turned up, including a girl who clearly wasn't 18 (although her fatherfigure whisked her away after a surprising amount of stuff had gone down). And the screen was only half full anyway after all that ticket kerfuffle.

If you can spot when the joke's are on you (staged scenes, actors & clever editing) then it's far more enjoyable. People who are easily offended are mostly ripped apart in the film anyway so you should go see it and see how daft you are.

I can't help but to echo the similar experience as Hulkwarriors, as above. However I was in Cardiff Odeon.
We were all packed in, as they were expecting a good turnout - 95% full.
The place got hotter from the moment the film started.....it was almost unbearable by the end of the film. Also endless people kept going out to the toilet.....clearly they kept drinking, as it was so damned hot!!!!!!
Several people left before the end....
I did enjoy the film....but as it went on and on and on....... all i will probably remember is being desperate to leave.
Johnny Depp fan or not......the film was 30 minutes longer than it needed to be!
There's no excuse for not having the air-con on, as I watched another film there recently at the same screen and it was a lot cooler!!!!!

Yep me and my sister went here too and it was awful

Also got a text RE feedback and it said did you injoy the trailer for Inglorious Basterds and Funny People! Where were our trailers?
Never give up the dream!

I went to see Bruno at Sheffield cineworld last night. The security guy there was very friendly and I chatted to him as I had seen him the previous evening at the Vue cinema for Public Enemies. They are employed by universal when there is a preview film which is released in UK, before the US have released it. They are there purely to ensure that the film is not illegally filmed by anyone and they had infrared devices to check for camera devices.

The film is not for the faint hearted, if you want some ideas of what people think go to http://www.iveseenbruno.com/

went to see bruno at wolverhampton cineworld, had the security guys checking phones were off and one was sat at the back with binoculours throughout the film spying on people. cinema was good for a change, much needed aircon was on and the picture quality looked like a digital copy as it was much brighter and no marks like you usually see.
