Went to see Star Trek yesterday in Southampton, am not a big fan but after watching it, it was a great film. Deliberately trek out to town to get 2 copies of Heat magazine for it, yet they never asked for it, which was really disappointing.

They did a security announcement before we went in, saying to take all batteries from mobile phones out and if caught using a mobile for anything in the cinema room, they will report to the police. Did a very brief bag check with a torch. Cinema wasn't totally full, around 80% of people inside. Nice atmosphere. Just shame about the magazine really, brought 2 copies for it, for nothing.

Overall, good film, definitely recommend to friends & family.;)

think it depends, but here in liverpool you can sign on as a guest, and also when i went on holiday in cornwall i had a bit of an urgent situation where i had to use the ocmputers in their library - they also let me use them as a guest! So doesnt hurt to try :)

    Another thumbs up for Coraline.

If anyone missed it and can make the Haymarket vieiwing on the 3rd May - then just go - it's a lovely made movie. Quite dark, but my 7 and 3 year olds both loved it.

Just a warning to people taking young kids to see Coraline. You may find they get very scared as some of it can be very upsetting. My friend took her 4 year old yesterday night and they only lasted 15 minutes before she was crying and wanted to leave. Not sure whether they got the rating right on this one or the market audience as I know as a kid the idea of sewing buttons in my eyes would have freaked me out let alone the creepy spider woman! Think it depends on the child but just be careful taking younger children.
