    1. Wouldn't it be easier if this thread was stickied too? So people could find it easier

    2. In the codes only thread, the link to the discussion thread is about 2 years out of date, would be helpful to update it??

    3. Couldnt someone or two or 3 people who mod the thread already, just collect all the codes in one place on the front page, so it would look like;

    State of Play;

    Code 1234, 1235, 1236 works for these cinemas,
    Code 1255 works for these alternative cinemas

    Coraline

    Code 123, 124, works for these cinemas

    Star Trek
    Code 1701 (hehe) works for these cinemas

    That way you'd only have to look at one page.

    Also, if there are any Norwich MSE'ers who regularly get codes, please PM me your username, thanks :-)

    MSE guidelines are that there are 5 or 6 maximum STICKY threads per board, and the FREEBIES board already has SEVEN !

    Board guides & moderators already have enough work on their plate keeping good order, deleting offensive & controversial posts, dealing with spammers etc.
    On average there are well over 2000 (probably about 2200) NEW THREADS EVERY DAY and many tens if not hundreds of thousands of posts every day.
    Trying to collate and present free cinema codes is not their responsibility, nor should it be part of their remit.
    Only the other day one film had at least 16 codes to my knowledge - screenings were on 3 different days and covered well over 100 cinemas in total. These were in various and random selections of anything from 2 or 3 cinemas, up to groupings of 30 or 40.
    A single post of just this film, never mind the other 8 or 9 that were on at the time - another 50 or so codes, would have be a mammoth task to present as you suggest.

    If nobody asks questions or posts answers, chats about codes not working, or that a particular screening is full or is now working again, and the thread is kept short, and people aren't lazy and do check that they aren't about to post a duplicate, and those deliberately obnoxious predictable and repetitive morons (you know who you are - and we do too) that are out to be just obnoxious predictable and repetitive morons could stop being 4 year-olds and grow up, or better still go and play on a very busy road somewhere .......

    ... then there wouldn't be a problem :)

    And board guides / mods would be over the moon !

    FILM REPORT !

    STATE OF PLAY - Saw it Tuesday evening, not bad, a watered-down (in both quality & plot) ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN (Redford/Hoffman) Watergate political type "thriller". Not thrilling enough and predictable. Worth a 7/10 in my book.

    THE UNINVITED - Last night. Poor excuse for a "horror" movie. Rather bland and boring, few exciting moments. Can't think of a single "edge of seat" event at all. Just scrambles to a 5/10

    state of play monday - decent film, quite a good performance by all involved really. cinema in wolverhampton only had about 15 people in it and we were in a large screen wheras us freebiers are usually sent to the smallest screen, also started 20 mins late for no apparent reason just had a weird recording of a cinema up on the screen, it looked like there was some intro to the film but the sound wasnt working.

    shifty - 'won' two tickets to that at cineworld in birmingham, email said half 8 start, turned up at 8.25 and staff said it started half an hour ago so didnt bother staying, got in and was going to see fast and furious instead but it turned out we would have had to go through another ticket check so we bottled it and left.

    Quoia... could I possibly ask a big favour, would you be able to write your posts in "normal" sized and colour text... that bold blue colour really hurts my eyes especially in your longer posts like the one above.

    Thanks in advance :beer:

    Your text colour is kinda annoying :-P

    Wasn't aware of those guidelines, that's fair enough. The mods do a great job and i'm not saying that they should do this, there's probably someone heavily involved in the thread that would want to do it!

    To be fair, there's usually only 4 or 5 films at a time. maybe my format wasn't dead right, but i think it could be done. If i had more time from work, i'd knock up a quick database and port it to a website and keep it updated myself, but i dont unfortuantely, i only check the thread every couple of days.

    I'm sure there's someone out there who would rather do that then CONSTANTLY delete peoples chat posts? There are always going to be misposts, even if it's just a new member who gets confused!

    Besides, there aren't enough busy roads in the world..
