  • Did they say which date it should have been?
I went to Hatfield Galleria tonight to see State of Play and they said that Tell Ten had got the dates wrong and we got to choose which film to see instead! very good customer service from Odeon, not so much so from Tell Ten...
  • yeah they said last week...

We had tickets for State of Play at Hatfield tonight but it when we got there they said they weren't showing it. They said we could see any other film but there was nothing we fancied so we didn't bother.
Does this happen often does anyone know? I've never had free tickets before.

I wouldn't say it happens often but it has happened to me twice before - once when I went to see Rocknrolla at the Vue O2 arena- but that was ok as we were then given the opportunity to pick another film. It also happened to me with Young Victoria, where we were simply told to come back next week - no offer of another film, so poor customer service from the Odeon Greenwich there.

To save a wasted journey I would probably have taken them up on their offer of watching another film as that goodwill gesture doesn't always come up when they make these mistakes.

I'm not sure Hatfield have got it totally right about Tell Ten giving out the wrong dates. The screening at Odeon Greenwich this evening seemed to take place ok - but obviously there was some miscommunication between Hatfield and Tell Ten in particular.

  • I was thinking that Tell Ten should explain the mix up but if you're happy then that's just fine and dandy

went to see state of play at sheffield last night. pretty full screening. i really enjoyed the film, thought it very gripping, definitely 9 out of 10.

my only gripe is the couple next to me talking the whole way through. they had giant popcorn and slush drink so when one was eating the other would watch the film and relay back to the other what was going on. really annoying!

thought ben affleck was great in the role, and even russell crowe was very plausible. brad pitt would have been awful - he doesn't look intelligent enough :-p
