ok heres the deal i make alot of make up videos on You Tube, and i got a new digital camera for christmas, a fujifilm fineppix.
anyway this records videos on quicktime, and i edit my videos in windows movie maker.
Anyway windows movie maker does not work with quicktime, it won't let me import my videos to it.
Also when i import pictures from my camera to it (to make a slideshow) it just appears black.
any advice, can i change the settings in windows movie maker?
Are there any other FREE movie editing things i can download instead?

Quicktime is an Apple product so its not surprising that WMM doesn't like it.
According to the help file:
Import video files, pictures, and audio into Windows Movie Maker
You can import files with the following file name extensions into Windows Movie Maker to use in your project:- Video files: .asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv
- Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wma
- Picture files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .wmf

Can you just copy the videos onto your PC and then convert them using something like Super? Then load them into Movie Maker. Is there an option to change the output format on the camera for future videos? It's my problem, it's my problem

I have a fuji finepix camera with a basic video function, this one records 640 x 480 at 30 fps and outputs as .avi, are you sure that the output is a.mov (apple) as .avi is the usual video output format.0

What model camera is it?
If you right-click one of the movie files it created and select Properties, you should see a name with a file extension. For example, I have a vid called Video1.MPG - MPG is the file extension. What file extension do the videos have?
Are you getting any kind of error message when you try and import them into Movie Maker? If so, what does it say?
What method are you using to import them? The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

Maybe... if you had bothered to answer the question posed to you a week ago, in post #7.
If you are sure the video is in the .mov format for Apple Quicktime..... Download and Install QuickTime 7.5.5 for Windows XP
or Vista
