Morning Ta Bunny, hope you are feeling a bit more yourself today.
I am in a foul mood this morning after being awake all night. Took my M.S medication last night and instead of going to sleep before the side effects kicked in had some "fun" with Mr Chloecat.
As a result i spent all night aching from head to toe, boiling hot head and freezing body. My vertigo has gone into overdrive and i now can't sleep or wake up properly!

Lots of love to you, put on some music you love and have a jig about by the window where people can see you. Guaranteed to cheer you up for a bit xxx

LOL Chloecat you naughty thing ha. Sorry to hear you're having a nightmare day. Thanks for asking how I am, bout the same as yesterday I'm sorry to say I sometimes wonder how my body can make so much fluid to swell up my fingers, wrists, knees etc where on earth is it coming from maybe Russia, oh no they've stopped up the pipes lol. Anyhow I managed to book in for a steroid jab next Wednesday they couldn't see me before, now all I gotta do is work out how I'm going to get there as driving right now is completely impossible but hey I'm sure I can always hitch a ride with aliens if they're not too busy ripping wind turbines apart.

All hail Clive Cussler lol oh and P J Tracy books are fantastic so any crime fans out there should give them a go I read snow blind in under a day wow good book.

Thanks to everyone who's shown their support and sent hugs, even wolfy squeezes lol it's made me feel better.

i suffer osteoporosis, also have a pair of false knees and hips next and i'm only 35 feeling 80 in this weather, my doctor on monday put me on arcoxia for realy bad days, im on max daily dose of 120mg and boy it feels like i've been smacked in the face by a crack factory lol. they are good for the short term but as you cant take them for more than 8 days at a time not sure how i'll feel next week.

Jesus that medication sounds like a b**ch I know what you're going through feeling 80 years old, that's how I feel all the time urgh! maybe us "old before our timer's" should make a new club where we can talk about what we'd really like to be doing at our age rather than sitting here feeling like Nora Batty with my leg warmers. For starters I'd rather be snogging the face off David Tennant than shivering with my bent up old bones lol ah I can dream.

  • Hello Tabunny,

You sound a little more chirppy today!

I'm obviously missing something on the book front!
I've never picked up a Clive Cussler, let alone read it. I have tended to go for historical books, based somewhat on actual events.
Nine Days Queen by Alison Plowden was a really good read.
I must try and open my horizons.
I half way thru The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, will hopefully get it finished over the weekend.

A steroid injection...must be highlight of next week! I ended up passed out on the doctor's floor on my last one....I really must stop doing that!

I hope it give you some relief,

    Keep Smiling

Hey munchie sounds like you're reading some good stuff there but I tend not to be able to focus on factual books I prefer documentaries for that with snuggly David Attenborough or Tony Robinson. I just love fiction but it's got to be crime or something like bible code stuff ie Dan Brown or something to do with espionage etc I just love em hahaha and they keep me out of the real world. Hey we should have a book review forum.
    :p
  • HaHa!

It would end up as cussler appreciation groupies!
But if Richard and Judy can, then why not :T

I tried reading a bible code book, but I ended up reading the same pages over and over again, my brain just could not process what I was reading.

I am just trying to educate my daughter with some Tony Robinson...but along the lines of Black Adder...must get it on dvd!

    What book would you recommend??

    Morning Munchie,

Well I just read a book called Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz which was a thrill a minute and very well written a great read and kept me guessing it was so good I couldn't put it down, read it in under 2 days. Right now I'm reading Deep Six by Clive Cussler, I'm a very sad person because I actually have bought every Cussler book ever written and I am reading them in order (that's after I read one of the more recent ones and fell in love with the writing and Dirk Pitt a character lol). Anyhow Life Expectancy is my recommendation for today lol.
    :p
  • Morning...well afternoon TaBunny!

At least we can laugh at our sadness!
And if that's the only laugh of the day, so be it :D

I'll pay a visit to Smith's later in the week! I am feeling the need to get rid of the post xmas blues!

I'm a big reader but I hate chick lit with a passion! You could try joining reading groups to give you something to take your mind off things, I know it's helped me (I'm also in an online one which is good when I can't get out).

Don't know what to suggest about the pain and things, I use wheat bags and I've got a halogen heater that warms me up nicely.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

God yeah Ames I hate Chick Lit and actually find it offensive that the library have a section called 'chick lit' because it's normally mindless blah blah books which do not challenge the brain. Hey munchie I get most of my books in charity shops, amazon are cheap too or you could try bookbutler.com which is good for getting a few bargains.
