Trying to unlock a Nokia 6230i, Please help!

Hi all,

I am hoping to unlock an Orange Nokia 6230i and use a Tmobile Sim card with it.

I looked at this thread on the site. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=62874

and then went through the instructions on the website http://unlock.nokiafree.org/

I was given These codes;
CODES:

#pw+426017343422227+2#
#pw+909462525776273+3#
#pw+297425512506730+4#
#pw+402157623053162+5#
#pw+427417142506520+6#
#pw+729140442723752+7#

I then tried the first and seventh codes without the tmobile sim in the phone. Then I read more on the original thread and tried them again with the sim card in the phone?! This didn't work.

Now I'm a little worried and not sure whether I have one last go or three?

My IMEI is: 357066009575416

I would really really appreciate some help from someone in the know

Where on earth did you get 7 different NUCs?

this is the procedure, but only one of the nucs is correct.

Nokia 6230i

Unlock Procedure
1. With the Vodafone sim card inside the handset. 2. Key #pw+NUC+1# (The p w and + symbols are found by keying the * key twice for the + symbol, three times for ‘p’ and four times for ‘w’). 3. The handset should then display “Sim restriction off”

Would tht only work with a vodaphone sim card?

Sorry I'm not too sure what you mean? Also what is NUC?

Sorry, I copied and pasted the procedure from my intranet. substitute VF sim for yours. NUC stands for network unlock code. it will be unique to your IMEI number.

Sorry I see what your saying now, I'm just not too sure how what the best way to get this code is as I understand if you get it wrong 5times you have to get it unlocked at a shop?

where did you get all those different unlock codes from? i would suggest going back to the site and recheck. Whoever you got the phone from should provide you with the correct one.

A friend gave me the phone, I don't think he has the original box though so I don't know if he'd be able to help?

I got the code through following the instructions on this website :

It is recommended by someone on this website on another thread (see my original post)

Jeepers, I put your IMEI into that site and it gave me all those NUCs! How daft are they since they tell you on the same page that if you put it in more than 3 times you'll get locked out!

which network was it locked to originally? I've tried your IMEI on our NUC checker so it wasn't Vodafone.
