Amazing house or weird monstrosity?

It does have a lift.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Don't seem very homely to me.0

The house is not homely, its not a warm family home, although architecturally pleasing, you would have to be bananas considering buying this ''home'' especially at that price.
Couldn't even imagine trying to bring my little 1 up in that.0 -
I think it's beautiful but I wouldn't want to live in it. Imagine trying to get a bed up those stairs.
Also the money  . I'd prefer a Georgian mansion in the country for that - or even a Georgian townhouse in Chelsea.0 -
Ok I've read all the replies and see that it has a lift.
I can't see myself keeping tabs on two toddlers in that house. The potential for serious accidents is pretty scary.
I wouldn't fancy the view of the office block/living right in the centre of London either.0 -

I'm in the first camp, I think it's gorgeous. I'd love to live in a Christopher Wren designed tower.
But I also think that even in an active market, this could be quite a hard one to sell, because it's so unusual. And I think there is a fairly small pool of potential purchasers (esp. at that price!)
What do you think?

i would buy it, but i don't think i could put up with the traffic noise.0 -
I don't like it. 4.5 million? No more work. Comfy place anywhere outside city for 2 or 3 hundred k. Live off interest. End of.0

Can you imagine being drunk and stumbling on the top step. You'd still be falling down the stairs a week later! :eek:Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

Mewbie, seriously if you had 4.5 million you'd want to live in a 2 or 300k house???
You could live in a 1 million pound house and still live off the interest! After all, you wouldn't have a mortgage!
Are you married? If I was your wife and we came into 4.5 million and you made me live in a 3 bed semi in suburbia I'd bump you off!0
