Yeah I know that, but at least wanted to arm myself with the information so that I could say something like "please give me a bot of time to pay, surely that would be better all round rather than I use nnn loophole".
Yes, that could be a constructive use of a bargaining chip - you could say "look I am trying my best here to make sure you get your money back and we can end our agreement on reasonable terms, I could go down the route of many dishonest people and take you to court forcing you to write off the debt and get nothing"
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

    How is it dishonest?

It's the law to have proof of a proper credit agreement and they aren't complying with it.

Try the consumer action group site - lots of good advice there.

And none of this deference to fat cats.
No one is defending the "fat cats"?
There is little difference in your mate lending you a £1000 to a bank; would you scam your mate because his terms were not water tight? If you would then that is just a sign of a weak character.

Stop sitting on the fence :rotfl:
As I see it the bank are the people that would get nothing, I do not want to do this, but if they wont help me then if it becomes a choice of going down this route or my family losing our house, I know which way I will go (I am - touch wood - a long way from that).

Quite right mate. Do what's right for your family.

Apparently your dishonest for trying to get them out of debt any way you can.

Nobody is sitting on the fence, what planet are you on?
I am offering some constructive advice and you are twisting words.

I did not say My Bank Is My Mate - (minus the keyboard period infection), it is principle.
