Hello to everyone. I went BR on 3rd FEB 2009. Got there at 9.00am. Appointment at 9.30. The clerk that dealt with my paperwork, she also took the fee, and I had to swear on the Bible. She then took me to a side room where she told me to wait for the judge to call me. She was very very nice.
Five minutes later my name was called and I went into court room 1. The judge told me to sit down. He said that he could see that my main debt was with a bank, and also that he could see that I had taken advice. He asked if I was aware of what I was doing and then said not to worry that he was going to grant the order.
The judge was so nice and said to me that he was 'pleased' to tell me that this was no longer my problem and that I should start to 'get on ' with the rest of my life. He could see that I was quite emotional (not crying) and at such a difficult time tried his best to make me feel at ease.
That was it ... over.
I then went back into the side room where I was then told to wait for a call from the OR office. The call came through , I was asked a few quick questions and told that my OR interview will be on 17th Feb 2009 at 12 noon.
Since then I have had some paperwork through the post to sign and return. I would like to end on saying that , I know it is hard not to worry and wonder what to expect, but really it is not all that bad. Good Luck to those going through it soon, and I will let you know what happens in my OR interview.0 -

Hi everyone, welcome to the February 2009
Bankruptcy Club.
This club is for everyone who has gone through the process of Bankruptcy during February 2009. So please feel free to join and post.
Pop your name on here, the date that you went/are going Bankrupt and the stage that you are at in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.
Remember this is your board so keep posting.
Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.
Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.

Have noticed a few people popping up who are going BR in February - so here you are if you are interested.
depending on how it goes for February and March will decide if more months are to follow. December and January have been a really good success so I hope that others will get some benefit from the February and March ones.

I am awaiting the dreaded phone call from the OR, not sure what to do0
-
Hi babes55, welcome!
I am awaiting contact from my OR too so you are not alone. I had the initial call but heard nothing at all since. Don't worry. The first call will just be to check over some details with you like name, address etc and ask you about any bank accounts you have that are to be closed and which one you are wanting to keep open.
Sadly there is not much else you can do but wait. It will soon be over.

Hi all.
Don`t get the chance to post on here as often as I would like to but just nipped in to wish you all the best of luck with your journeys.
We came out the other side and I`m sure you all will too.
