If you don't mind I would like to join the February bankruptcy club ( or may be march). We have just been talking to the local CAB (itself a major achievement as they are so busy!) and have been advised to declare bankruptcy. We have been struggling for years to meet our debts and are on a CCCS debt management plan which will last longer than me I suspect and also due to my wife being made redundant are now falling behind with our mortgage payments.I don't know if this is some kind of record but she has been made redundant 3 times in 5 months. After much soul searching we now realise that this is our only course of action and any help ,advice & experience would be very much appreciated0

Hi Brassock, you are welcome to join the club, but you tend to join the one in which month your date for going Bankrupt is. Therefore it is likely to be the March one now! But Yellowmonkey is always looking for more company in the club!
Am glad that you have gotten some professional advice from cab, next step is to read all that you can of the posts on here, it will give you loads of information and experiences to help you along the way. Then if there are any questions that you need answering, post them up on the main board under the "new thread" option. Sorry to hear about your wife's job situation, hopefully she will find something that will last a bit longer soon.

Need to send my paperwork off to the OR tomorrow so it gets there for the 5th March deadline, someone give me a boot up the bum please or I'm never going to get off this sofa and sort it all out

Best kicking shoes on & i'm on the way

Remember if your sending stuff off...make sure you get a record of someone at the OR's office signing for the package (that way they cant say they never received your paperwork)We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Lol at the shoes..
Should I send recorded delivery then?BSC No: 2450 -
There have been occasions in the past where people have sent paperwork & the OR's office denied ever receiving.....I would send signed for or recorded I know its an expense but worth it IMHO or if the receivers office is local to you? you can always drop the stuff of by hand in personWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
