Surely this isnt right??

Noticed NatWest have made all my statements available on internet banking so Im trying to work out what they would owe me

However according to the I appear to have paid a charge of at least 9 pounds each month for the last 4 years. Surely that cannt be right. Could something under "charges" be something that isnt claimable?? Dont know what but I certainly dont remember being charged each and every month??

Also the interest?? Am I likely to get it?? I think Im entitled as Im paying an overdraft with them.

Could it be that you have a fee paying account? This could explain a regular monthly charge.

No its not £9s a month. Just that I appear to have been charged something every month (for the entire 6 years) barring 3 or 4 months. Just seems like something I would notice. I have it here that Ive been charged 92 times in 6 years. I would have still been suprised had it been half that number
  • Have you asked the bank what it is? Either by phone or by going into a branch?

What is the description on your statement by the amount? Is it the same every time?

£9 going up to £10 and then £12 and then £12.95 if you still had/have the advantage gold account sounds about right. They are non claimable. You are looking for Unpaid Items/card misuse/guaranteed card payments/referral fees/unarranged borrowing/ maintenance charges.

HOWEVER, if it is something called Policy Admin Services or PAS(That is mobile phone insurance and nothing to do with NatWest Bank whatsoever).
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

So what have I been paying the £9 a month for?? The account?? I certainly dont ever remember being told my account would cost £9 a month
  • Under charges (CHG) on my statements I have charges from £6 to £65 pounds. Lots are marked A/C, some are marked, UNPAID ITEMS, some are marked REFERRAL CHARGE (from an earlier day) and 1 is even marked CARD MISUSE. Someone suggested that the lesser amounts wouldnt be claimable.

Would be very grateful if someone could tell me if that is the case and if so explain why. Also all the smallest charges arent marked the same way

All claimable. Do you have an Advantage Gold A/c, varies from £6 in 2002 to £12.95 today.
