Although I can't at the moment disprove this, I'm pretty sure it's wrong. However, I'm open to learning something new; can you provide a link for this information? Thanks.0 -
Just a quick note for anyone still interested. My son has now received a letter from UCAS confirming his application.
Thanks to all who tried to reassure an anxious Mum.
It's all all up to him now, I can do no more.
( Except hassle him to wear something other than jeans if he gets an interview ha ha!:o )0 -
Good luck to him. Hope he gets the places and grades he needs0

You're right - that information is wrong. If you are applying through your college then when you "pay/send", you are only sending UCAS your credit card details for when they receive your application - not your application itself! The application will not be sent to UCAS until your college sends it to them, with the reference attached.
Anyone who "sent" their application this past week needs to make sure their college sent it to UCAS by the 15th, as otherwise it's missed the deadline (which doesn't mean that universities won't consider it, just that they don't have to).
Having said that, it might work differently if you are applying as an individual and not through your school or college.0 -

No, that's certainly the way it works for an individual, it was the Apply system I was slightly unsure about.0 -
Good Luck to all those that have applied this year!:D0
