I broke the screen on my phone but mine was out of warranty. If the phone company don't play ball have you considered fixing it yourself? I bought a brand new screen and fitted it myself and it's not as difficult as you might think! I ordered it from https://www.metatech.co.uk who I have found to be excellent for phone bits.
Worth considering if you get no joy.

Hi again, Well I contacted o2 and they said that I have to take the phone into an o2 shop and see if they will sent it away to be fixed. Will they charge me? The phone is just outside the 28day replacemant period.0

No you shouldn't get charged as it is still covered by manufacturers warranty, I bought my daughter a NEC off the o2 web site and it wouldn't hold charge-it was well out f the 28 day replacement period--o2 retail shop sent it away it came back after a week fully repaired and the software upgraded-all FOC.they will even lend you a replacement phone. You will need to take proof of purchase with you though.0
