If you send me your email address, I can try to scan it and send it to you.

Otherwise, if you let me have your address, I'll photocopy it at work tomorrow and post it.

Not sure how you do private messages on here - so my email is

    Steve.

All sorted now. Thanks to all.
  • I could do with a copy of the instructions as well - or at least some advice on which programme I am supposed to put it on for a basic wash. I was left the machine in a flat i bought but with no instructions.

I have an APM 8703 washer/dryer and would cheerfully copy the manual for you (surely they can't be THAT different)?

Let me know if this is any use.
Hi My sister has just moved into a flat with this washer dryer, any chance you can send me s copy of the manual please.

  • Hello,

I echo above. I have just moved into a flat which has the washing mahine: diplomat apm8703/2 washing machine / tumble dryer and would really appreciate a copy of the user guide please.

The powder tray is filthy and it is not obvious how to remove it without any damage in order to clean it properly. It would also be handy to know how to clean the drain sumo area in case there is a lot of lint build up already there.
  • I am another new house owner who has the pleasure of a diplomat washing machine with no instructions. Anyone willing to share a copy of theirs?
  • Can anybody tell me how to get the dryer to work on the apm 8703/2. I have no manual. It liiks like you turn the timer knob and it should start automatically at the end of the cycle, but it doesn't or won't do it. Am I missing something?
  • but a bit of online research sorted it. A quick description of the drier:
"Brief history lesson first, these washer dryers were designed to be used in flats etc where an outside wall was not available for a conventional vent hose to be ducted. ie tis better to have poor drying than NO drying. They are a compromise of a washing machine and a condenser drier. Usually, you are not able to dry a full load of washing but have to split the wash load in two drying loads. Whilst they do work after a fashion, they are not overly good at drying clothes. Moving on - this model uses a condenser drying system but unlike a stand alone unit the condensed moisture is pumped out via the washing machine drain hose. No tanks to empty. Hope that helps"

So basically, the drier is not too great and so only works on half-loads. To use it I found some instructions:
"...You need to put on 1/2 load symbol and then set to how many minutes drying time you want to have after the wash. Then set machine to wash normally i.e programme 1, 2, 3, etc and drying for how long you wanted will happen after the wash."

    Magic.
