Thanks Airwolfe1 I did that first but they could not help.The models are AMP8552/2 1200 automatic and AMP8703 washer/dryer They have been in storage for about 1 year, only had a few washes through before that and developed faults and were regected.We need one and our son wants the other. If someone has similar model i am willing to pay for photocopies of the hand books All help appreciated.

Hmm. I guess you could try writing to Howden's head office - they may be able to get hold of a copy for you, if not, ask them where you could get a copy from.

You can ring GDHA, 0845 006 0006 They deal with all of the aftercare for Howdens appliances and should be able to source you a copy.

I have an APM 8703 washer/dryer and would cheerfully copy the manual for you (surely they can't be THAT different)?

From what I can ascertain Diplomat products are manufactured by a company called antonio merloni www.antoniomerloni.it the website isnt brilliant but it gives you a point of contact at the very least

I thought diplomat was manufactured by mfi for mfi and they have gone bust and if someone else manufactures for them you be lucky to get anything eg spares books etc
