Sorry, cannot resist ...
EDIT: answer to the question below: Yes, I was No3 to vote and No2 to vote for CCs: I love my plastic!
P.S. Start the same thread at the Credit Cards board and you will get 9:1 (or even 99:1) in favour or CCs.0 -
Nice one Grumbler, the amount of crap I get through the post box is amazing, I think I will just seal it up!

As my uncle always said- "when sometime goes wrong and you want to look for something to blame- best place to start is by looking in the mirror"!I am a fee charging WoM Mortgage broker.I now no longer give information and opinion within the Mortgage boards, because a number of posters who, having approached me professionally, agreed my fee-which has been been made very clear at the outset, taken my advice (normally cancelling a [home visit] meeting at short notice) have then approached one of the fee-free brokers on here to arrange the very same deal I have advised.Whilst I totally concur with the ethos of "money saving"- abusing the goodwill of a professional who provides a quality service is taking it too far! :mad:0 -
I sold my mirror on Ebay and used the money to pay off my credit cards!"YOU WANT THE CASH? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE CASH"0

I love my plastic.I can't agree. Credit cards are very usefull. Maybe you need to pass a credit test before being allowed one. Although the banks would probably withdraw them if everyone knew how to use them.

Credit cards are a bad thing.I agree credit cards are very useful - if you can make sure you are controlling them and don't let them control you. But truth is some people (ME!) just can't handle credit and shouldn't be given a card - might as well hand me a noose and have done with it. They should carry a health warning like ciggies - 'spending on credit cards can seriously damage your wealth'.0

i guess its the way you use them. if you can be good and use them in the right way, they can be a good tool that can "make" you money but if not...you should stay away from themNovember NSD's - 70

Im with you Rainbow, I cant handle credit at all.
Instead of them been banned completely maybe there should be a limit to the number you can have and also a limit on the total credit limit.:jDebt Free At Last!:j0 -
I love my plastic.Credit cards should be banned for muppets who sign up to the terms and conditions then complain when they don't adhere to them.
I also think being shot by firing squad is a suitable punishment.
If anything loans are the thing that cause more of a problem...if you are savvy enough credit cards shouldn't really cost you much, or anything at all.0 -
I love my plastic. At the time of my posting this, twelve people have voted 'yes' to the post. I assume they have all either
a) returned all cards or never had any in the first place
or
b) are paying off balances and not using them for further purchasesGwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0
