I wouldn't recommend that anyone attempts to install Windows 7 unless they have a very good reason too. There's going to be instability, incompatibility, performance issues, dataloss, not to mention that unless you're going to be actively contributing to report or confirm bugs that you're just going to be denying someone who will be the ability to do so all so you can get it free to say "look I have new windows".
I was half tempered to install it on a VM, but can't really be bothered. Certainly wouldn't put it on a machine to be used for anything serious.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

!!!!!! is open system software anyway?

What the poster meant is Open Source Software.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source
Very basically it means the source code for the software is made available to the public.0 -
Just a word of caution. People considering using open system software should investigate the security features. Unfortunately, OS systems are not as secure or robust.
A very sweeping statement and totally incorrect. Just because the software is open does not indicate either way whether the software is secure or not.
A simple example would be openbsd.

I used OS X Leopard and its the best operating system I have ever used!!!!!!

Much better than Windows and in IMHO much better than open source software as you have the updates from good old Apple!!!!:beer:In My 'Permanant' Pre-Masters Gap Year

That'll be because you wear cords and a black polo neck, while listening to Jack Johnson in a room gently scented with incense sticks. :rotfl:My farts hospitalize small children

Third party plugins causing problems with the Mail app is hardly the same thing as crippling the OS. Nice try though!dreamypuma wrote: »That'll be because you wear cords and a black polo neck, while listening to Jack Johnson in a room gently scented with incense sticks. :rotfl:
