Has anyone tried Sainsbury's ECO nappies

I've used both Sainsburys eco nappies and asda ones, my little pooing machine (and her extremely runny poo) does better in Sainsbury's ones :-)
The Asda ones weren't very absorbant at all, the poo just sat on it so it went everywhere!
The Sainsburys ones are massive but herself has really chunky thighs so they do fit her ok.Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
Hi,
We use the Sainsburys ones (only started in size 4 though). Like others have said I think that they are slightly bigger than other brands. I've had no problems with absorbency though. Before this we used the nature babycare ones - I prefer the sainsburys ones because they are softer and more flexible.
Good luck with the baby!0 -
I see what you are saying but it is not £30 for 2 years as you have to factor in the cost of the electricity you use when washing them and the Napisan stuff (if you use it) . I am assuming these are washbale nappies you are on about ,
No need to use Napisan or anything like that. I chuck them in a sealed bucket and wash them when needed. You are right about washing them costing money but I have bought a £1.62 cheapy bottle of washing liquid from ASDA and that lasts 4 months as you dont need a lot of it, also never use washing conditioner, just a drop of white vinegar....I still say it is much cheaper than disposables and much better for the environment!!!'' If you're buying them for environmental reasons, check that they don't have the gel in them and that they're unbleached, otherwise you'd be as well buying cheaper ones. I think there are only one or two types of 'eco' nappy that are actually 'eco friendly'.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

We bought these for weekends away and lazy days but the nappies gave my LO quite a severe nappy rash  and she is not a particularly sensitive baby. Back to cloth nappies for me...0
