I seem to have a lot of European bidders (but didn't pay extra for visibility or anything) so maybe the geographical suggestion is correct.

The pound vs euro makes our stuff cheap at the moment, hense all the eurozone customers.

I've thanked you Dave because it was something I had been mulling over, whether or not to go back to an 'old' line of mine but aim it at the European market rather than the UK one. Having decided to concentrate more on Amazon I just can't make a decision about new lines on ebay at the moment.

I've just started my own ebay adventure (wish I'd done it last year when I had a huge clear out but just put stuff in the tip!). Finding it all a little frustrating - perhaps was too optimistic and expecting to make my millions (of pence) but finding other items exactly the same as mine and listed in the same condition are selling for more for some reason. Just had one listing end without a bid while other items the same had 4 or 5 people biding on them. I'm losing heart....!!!
Could be a case of low feedback vs higher feedback / more established sellers.

Or terms and conditions, copperjar you don't have any strange terms in your auction do you like 'not being responsible for loss in post' or anything? Sometimes a simple throw away line can put buyers off.

I've sold more stuff to eurozone people than UK customers this last few weeks, I've even added text to encourage them to buy.

I sell to a demographic that has England as its epicentre and the trends set here ripple out across Europe so what I sell is now more affordable to our European neighbours so I sell more to them.

Down side is my profits from my European buying trips are down by around 30% due to the £/€.

I've found that the europeans find me through google, shipping to most eu countries does not seem that more than shipping to the uk.

I added some text to make sure the eurozone crowd knew I was happy to deal with them.
