Honeymoon in june but where to go??

Hello, Me & the Misses are getting married in June and are planning on booking our honeymoon very soon but are unsure where to go.
We've been to Magaluf, Spain, Turkey and Tenerife before and don't want to go again.
We both fancy a holiday in which we can do things other then sitting on the beach all day bored.
Thought about America or Canada, Maybe going to New York for a few days, then to Las Vegas and finishing in Florida.
We thought about going for 2 Weeks maybe 3 at a push, but im quite tight with money ;) and want a good deal, plan to spend a MAX! of £2000 for the pair of us plus spending money. (We hope for Money towards the holiday of Wedding guests instead of Bloody kettles and toasters!
Does Anyone have any great ideas or thoughts what to do, Where to go, Best Deals Etc.
Would really appreciate your thoughts!!! :money:

  • There's some distance between NY, Las Vegas and Florida and the USA is very expensive on a per night basis. If you want to do Vegas, why not combine it with a microflight to the Grand Canyon? The best hotels are the Venetian and the Bellagio and if you go to the hotel web site you can sign up for special offers...on the right day these hotels can go down to $169 per night. Also check out the room rates calendar on https://www.expedia.co.uk Another idea (and I am off on Monday) is a Nile Cruise on a 5* deluxe ship... try a company called Cinnamon Holidays as they are sometimes prepared to negotiate.

You could do Toronto then Niagara then Newyork.

Or in Florida they do loads of cruises out of Tampa Fort Lauderdale and Miami do a week long cruise and a week in Orlando.

We just had our honey moon we did an 11 day caribean cruise sailing from Newyork and then a week in vegas with a day in Newyork either side of Vegas it was great we got pretty much the best of everything actually.

Check [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] out we was on the Spirit, the Dawn goes out of NYC too, interestingly the Crown sails out of Philadelphia which is generally cheaper to fly too than NYC or florida.
Maybe cruise Philly and drive upto NYC we did this drive last August and its a doddle but train might be easier though.

You can cruise the west coast too which leaves you a lot nearer Vegas

We're doing Vegas then out to the Zion National Park for a few days, coming back to Vegas before flying home. Have been checking out the prices at the Stratosphere, which are around $44 per room per night. We've stayed at the Golden Nugget in the past which was great, prices there aren't huge either. OH wants to have a couple of nights at the Bellagio as a real treat before we come home - as it's a Thursday & Friday, can't get them cheaper than £430 all up inc taxes, that's at the beginning of June. It's possible to have a really cheap holiday in Vegas, this website is pretty good http://www.cheapovegas.com/
