No probs, I did actually try to put it in with spaces first of all but it was still going to the coupon page anyway. I really wasn't trying to get something out of it (I don't think it tracks properly anyway, I have to get three to get them to pay out, and the two I had I got them to chase up as they were people I knew, so probably a waste of time having affiliate banners!)Well I can't stand by the side

I know the feeling. I have one small affiliate link to my host on a low traffic site. 38 confirmed clicks and not one sign up!
Better action with Google adsense though. At least covers my hosting fees.0 -
It is with buy.at and yes i have copy / paste the banner but don't know where to put the HTML code as i ahve no clue about this stuff but once done i should be ok. So if anyone can show me the way i would be very grateful.end the tv tax0

There is the problem. You don't actually copy the banner.
You use the code they have given you, and place that in the HTML code for your webpage. What program do you use to edit your page?0 -
I use Heart Internet and they use.............webbuilder plusend the tv tax0

A big thank you to Bingo for your help yesterday.
Now i ahve uploaded a HTML page from my desktop via File Manager on Heart Internet but when i load my site it shows Error 404 on the page i loaded up. The other thing i am not sure of is that when i go to edit the page i loaded up via file manager it does not show the content in the design section of Heart Internet. What am i doing wrong and how can i fix it. I would if poss also like some advice on putting another code in my site but..............when i design the page on webbuilder plus on Heart Internet from where do i add the HTML code for a text link / banner?end the tv tax0 -
Have you got any images on your page you have designed? You also need to upload these for them to show up on the web, this might be why it is not showing the same. Also is your first page named index.html (lowercase)?
I use dreamweaver for my site but if I add a banner or any images a box is there to add a hyperlink for it.
The html is something like this
<ahref="linktowebsiteetc/" target="_blank"><image src="images/button.gif" width="88" height="31" border="0" /></a>
(although I have probably got that wrong somewhere!)
Basically the first part is the hyperlink and the second is the details of your banner, also telling it where to find it (usually in your images folder which is uploaded to the web)Well I can't stand by the side

i had a look at hearts website builder and i cant see any way to add html either
the builder is just a wysiwyg text and image editor.
buy.at give affiliates html to cut and paste into sites source code or code editor.
most of their banners are created with flash, so you cannot upload the banner image and simply link to it with your id.
though a static banner would work. i tested one
your affiliate site will need a different editor i think0 -
If your running your own website I would really suggest learning html/xml/javascript rather than using one of those website builders, as you encounter problems like these when you use them.0
