    I'm a little confused.

What do you mean 'I've put the banner on my page'???

To do so you simply add the code they give you to your html code for the page. It will then show up when you view the page. PM me the page URL if you want and I'll look at the source code to check. Also provide the affiliate company (I already have my own so it's for checking purposes only).

And thanks to the poster above for that helpful response.
  • The affiliate department of your hosting company should be able to give you the URL for it, usually something along the lines of their name, your ID and any offers in the banner. You have to add the URL as the link for the banner.
For example I have a banner on my site and the URL is http://www.lunarpages.com/id/site id removed as edit/secure/order:basic,25OffHosting

    Shelly,

That's a blatant attempt to have your link posted and is against site rules. I suggest you edit your post or some of the police on here will report it for you. You can only post links which get you personal gain on the referral thread, and then refer to it in other posts.

Please see the top of the page for details.
  • Actually it wasn't, but I will gladly edit. I was just trying to provide an example of what the url should look like.
I have removed my site ID from url now so the link doesn't take you anywhere other than my hosting company's home page, but the format of what a affiliate banner link looks like is still there.

Sorry, I wasn't having a go at you, just pointing it out before someone else did. Although a few posters on here would just report posts like that rather than tell you.

Having re-read the OP, I get the feeling they have copied the banner itself and displayed this on the page (gif or bmp), rather than implanting the code to display it.

They aren't going to click on the banner anyway, so what does it matter? :p

True. If they can't figure out adding some banner code, I shudder to think of the SEO.
