Sometimes when I try to click on something in IE nothing happens, but the message at the bottom of the screen changes from "done" to "shortcut to Javascript".
I know a new window should open as it works on another PC I have access to.
I believe that I have downloaded and enabled Javascript and don't know what else to do.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Chippy, but this didn't work. There is an option there to phone their support line, but I think it's £50 (ish) &VAT. Too expensive I'm afraid.
Thanks for trying.:grouphug: Things can only get better.0 -
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security. Pick the Internet button then click Custom Level. Scroll down and near the bottom you should see "Active Scripting". Make sure this is enabled, then click OK, Apply, OK then restart your browser and see if it works.0

See reply 7 in this thread. I'd also try running CCleaner.0

Thanks so much for everyone's help. Unfortunately I've spent hours following all the advice but no change.
All the attached likns seem to suggest that I've some sort of spy/hijacker problem, but I don't think that's the cae. I think it's more simple than that!
The CCleaner was great Chippy. Thanks.
Any more suggestions???:grouphug: Things can only get better.0 -
Just try this get
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ now download and install and when
asked to update the definitions do so, but dont do a scan straight away.
I reccomend turning off system restore then double clicking
AdAware then performing a scan.. more info here http://www.intels.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ after a scan re-enable system restore
Afterwards you can create a fresh restore point by , start, run type msconfig
Launch restore then create a restore point. This is for XP and ME only.0 -
Thanks for the help Chippy, Intel & Tiger. My computer is now nicely "cleaned up", but I've still got my Javascript error. Aaaaargh..............:grouphug: Things can only get better.0
