Have you tried looking under previa for seats?
My DD was in a larger seat at an earlier age because she was so tall and heavy for her age. I was never happy about it because she was at the stage of undoing her seat belt.
We went and bought one of the fandangly things from halfords which we couldn't work and she had off in 10 seconds.
I ended up leaving 1/2 hour early for everything so I could pull over and stop if she undid herself. I got to the stage once where she did it and the 1st place I could pull in was a currys car park. She was also screaming her head off. I pulled in yanked her out of her seat and stood her by the car. Got back in cause it was raining and told her she couldn't get back in until she stopped screaming and buckled up. There were 2 young staff members having a fag who looked very concerned!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
If you can track down a Britax Elite car seat http://www.britax.co.uk/cms_downloads/Elite_BBO52601.pdf then you can use the harness until he weighs 25 kg? Not that difficult to fit, either.
If you can get to the London Borough of Bromley (I work for another council's Road Safety department) then their Road Safety team have a good car seat checking service, details here: http://www.bromley.gov.uk/transportandstreets/roadsafety/child_car_seat_fitting_advice.htm.:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j
