    Oh yes, if you are thinking of having kids in the next few years, a house would be better for you. Son looked at Beckton but wasnt keen. Little terraced house near a park but a gang of hoodies by the park when he went to view :) and squashed on road parking.

    Unfortunately, there will always be compromises if you are looking for cheap houses so close to London. If you move to certain areas of West London, you could pay £6-700k for a tiny house with no parking and you will still get some undesirables hanging around.

    Thats right Dave - wasnt casting aspersions on Beckton, just that particularly viewing didnt go down well. If you are worrying about your car being nicked or damaged just while you are viewing a house, it doesnt bode well, does it :)
