virgin internet charge

i have broadband with virgin but i need to move my computer into the bedroom the modem is downstairs,will i have to get virgin to put me a modem in the bedroom and does anyone know what it will cost?

    Just keep the modem downstairs & get a wired/wireless router and connect your pc via a long ethernet cable or wireless connection.

    i have a wireless router for my sons laptop but i will have to have a very very long ethernet cable for it to reach my bedroom upstairs.

    Get a wireless card for your computer (tenner or so.) Cheaper and less trouble than waiting all day for Virgin bloke to not turn up.
