Just keep the modem downstairs & get a wired/wireless router and connect your pc via a long ethernet cable or wireless connection.0

i have a wireless router for my sons laptop but i will have to have a very very long ethernet cable for it to reach my bedroom upstairs.0

Get a wireless card for your computer (tenner or so.) Cheaper and less trouble than waiting all day for Virgin bloke to not turn up.I ♥ MSE0
