Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Sorry it was the wrong board, my mistake, thanks for moving it. :-)0

how much is that 09 number?!

Edit: A Quick looks reveals that it's 15p per minute, calls last 2 minutes. So you are paying 30p with no guarantee that you will actually receive on of the 5000 sets of 5 that are being given away.

The irony is that 'energy saving' light bulbs are more wasteful and environmentally damaging that the old ones.
They are made with that huge, non-biodegradable collar that is made from plastic, and therefor oil and they have a small amount of mercury inside which will seep into the Earth when they are disposed of. Plus, in my experience, they do not last much longer than old bulbs anyway, in fact I have one well used old style bulb that has outlasted three energy saving bulbs that I have used in the room next door...and the light that has consumed three ES bulbs is used less!
Another great big eco-con :rolleyes:We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

I allways find that they are bright enough if people would buy the right one.
If you want the same as the old 100w bulbs buy 20w low enegy.
Remember if you have three armed light fittings that say 60w max you can now use 3x20w that will give you 300w of light.GONE ENGLAND0 -

Which wattage you using and what type of light? You can get over 100watt equivalents, I find the warm light (more like the original bulbs) are better than the white florescent style bulb.
and what dobbiesloan said
I found people complain they are too dim , then you look and they have a 40W equivalent when they had a 60+W beforeSurvey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740
