Went to Boots and not much there I wanted. There were a few items I managed to get in my order in the wee hours, and I sincerely hope I actually get the order as I could've picked most of the items up in-store today, but it doesn't look like they will last long if my order doesn't show!

It's interesting how it seems things sell out much quicker than what people seem to remember from the past. I think it just goes to show how many thousands of people read this thread and make use of the bargains, which itself is changing the bootsing experience (as in, you may not be able to nab much on 90% off sales this year as it will all be gone!).

What are the stores in Norfolk like, anyone know? I have been trying to order online but it keeps crashing on me

i left before lunch so could have all changed now, but norwich castle mall (big shop)was being stripped, had lots in there but so many people had those double baskets full to brimming not sure if there will be anything left.

castle meadow had a few nice sets fcuk, hackett, no7 but not alot(small shop).

anglia square (small shop) had a few bits and pieces, some of the big no7 make up cases on top of the racks and quite alot of r+m but were really quiet when i was there.

didnt try riverside (medium shop)as i went in on sunday and they had pretty much nowt :(

Just to let you all know that the Nottingham stores don't have much left! The locusts were out in force! Broadmarsh had more stuff left than Victoria centre but no where had ruby and millie, no7, sanctuary or soap and glory! Hardly any sets of anything at all in fact! Lots of the st tropez £45 boxes though. HTH

Is it likely that the stores will restock overnight?

I was one of them thar locusts :rotfl: ! I hit Vic centre first, and by the time I left there at 10am they were already replacing the sale items with vitamins, energy drinks etc I saw loads of the big cases of No7 (£70 normal price) there. Broadmarsh did have a lot more choice than Vic centre. Riverside was complete rubbish, nowt but Royal Jelly sets and some wrapping paper there.

I did manage to get an order on at 7.45 this am but it was soo slow and got to checkout only to get error. Then realised some items I'd been charged 50% off so very misleading. How bad is the Boots website, absolutely disgraceful.

if it was toys, it says Up To 75%, i only realised after i had paid as i was so excited to be checking out!!
  • No7 Completely Quenched Moisture Lotion - £4.83 or FREE with blinkie
No 7 Fabulously Firming Body Cream - £5.00 or FREE with blinkie.

I thought the blinkies were for cosmetics only. Are they working with all No7, ie tanning stuff as my store has a few of these in clearance.

Well I went to the Leeds City Centre shop today with my nan on the way home and I got a panda alarm clock and a baileys cocktail set for my nan as a thank you so spent 7xx points. My nan got a So... perfume set and a Front Cover set for one of my cousins. Oh I also got a nice purple bruise, so to the woman who was too ignorant to say excuse me to get past me and decided to push me over instead - thanks - i hope your ac card gets cancelled. :D
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

  • What a day! Hope all you peeps I suggested went to Lakeside were happy with my suggestion!!! :j The place was heaving, but so much stock.

Anyway, we arrived just before Curtain Up at 9.30, immediately regretted not getting an M & S trolley first, but bagged a variety of things, including toys for the grandchildren, and paid upstairs, which was empty, where I noticed, at the back, several Admit It sets. :T

As I don't need any more, I have hidden these behind the green Kleenex Tissue boxes, for anyone who wants them. Don't know how long they'll be there for, but I've done my best!!

We then had a free coffee at Krispie Kreme Donuts, by saying "Yes we can!". They have a special offer on until President Elect Obama takes office on Friday. There was a sign saying this, and yet peeps were still paying for coffee!!!!

After that we went in M & S, and, glory be, there was an abandoned trolley at the lift, so bagged that, and then life was much better!

We came back and found the No 7 lady was circulating and handing out Blinkies, so we managed to bump into her 3 times! :j :j We both bought 2 of the lovely £50 white No 7 P & P sets, which, with our over 60s discount worked out at £11 each, and a Blinkie each time.

If you want the AA batteries, 4 in a pack and another 4 free, and buy 3 packs for the price of 2, they are by the Photo section, and by the pharmacy bit. where you queue up.

We then had another free coffee and a rest, then went to Pizza Hut for a 2 for 1 lunch, a final wizz round Boots for some more bits and another coffee, and another rest. I said to the lovely KK man "Aren't you going to put some more free samples out - ha ha" and he said "Yep, I'll do that and bring you a selection over" and b*gger me, he did bless him!

We then pushed the trolley to the bus stop, and abandoned it there, for someone else to get the £1, and my DH collected us at the other end, which was great!

Just had an add up. I went out with one Blinkie and now have 9. I spent
£24.48 in cash, and £18 ish in points. And the cost of everything at original price was £244.80, plus my half price meal, and 3 free coffees! :D:D:D Dee spent a little bit more, and hadn't as many points, but saved the same, more or less.

At one point, we were sitting outside for a breath of air, and saw 2 members of staff who had to go to M & S to get six trolleys for 2 ladies who had apparently driven 80 miles for stuff - was that one of you lot!!!!

Some people were being downright greedy, I think. They put out some sets of something or other, and one woman just put her arm out and swept the whole lot into her trolley! C'est la vie.

Hope you've all had a super day, and got everything on your lists.:j

    xx
