  • Thanks - i'll give it a try, when its working that is!

In the meantime, feel free to finish....
.....there was a shop called boots.....

And the MSErs were in cahoots
    To get the best buys
    But what a surprise
    The site crashed
And they pulled out hair by the roots

Just about finished my £150 order and the blinking holding page is back!

Well I had just over £60 worth of points to spend and I allowed myself another £40 in cash to spend. I got up at around 3am for a pee and thought I'd check here but was convinced .com wouldn't go live till 5am...then read CPR's post it was online, dived across and got my order in. I only had three items and had set up all my address page etc last night so the order went through smoothly and easily, yeah!

Unlike most folk here I don't really go for P&P (I prefer Time Delay, cheapskate that I am) and I loathe S&G! I was after most of the Country Living sets. I'd already got the overnight bag and sewing box in the 50% off sale which was just as well because there's not a sniff of either of them left round locally, nor on .com. What I DID get on .com was two of the CL big lined wicker hampers, ticket price originally £45 but reduced to £11.01 each. Plus another Elle bag...wanted more but didn't want to pay cash, so just got one online. Total with postage £33.47, for £125 worth of stuff.

Good enough but I had points so went to Edinburgh Fort for opening. I was one of the first in but there were soon more and it got reasonably brisk. There was one woman with a trolley who was trying her best to block off areas but we determined and well mannered Edinburgers were not intimidated, but kept moving it out the way with a firm "EXCCUuuuuuse ME!" Everyone else was really cheerful and chatty though. I beat Trolley Lady to two of the CL hatbox gift sets despite her determined efforts to get the last ten or so of them into her trolley in one swoop rather than let me in, but that was the only kerfuffle and everyone else was passing things back to other customers or helping each other load trolleys. I won't bother to list everything I got but my haul included another Elle set, one of the Boots Festive Hampers (£29.36->£7.34), the two CL hatboxes and a Bailey's Mini Chocolate Fountain.(£24.47->£6.11) Spent £45 in points in total and tottered out with four big bagfuls.

There wasn't a huge selection left by the time I left Fort but TBH the selection wasn't huge to start with. A lot each of what they had though.

Off to Straiton where I got a CL Gardener's Tote (£25?-> £6.something, a gardeners diary and £ No7 Hair Spritzers and a No7 Shimmer Pallette with two blinkies. Saw Trolley Lady come in just as I left. There was a lot of R&M in Straiton, and N07 make up sets.

Down to Musselburgh Boots where there was also a good selection of smaller things. Got a Luki Panda Bag (£14.68-> £3.67, and a Homer Soap on a Rope. (£3->75p) Still lots left at lunchtime.

Spent almost all my points and spent all my cash budget but now have a bed covered in nice items, including lots for me, and the CL hampers and other Elle set to follow. .com willing. I'm very pleased I got everything on my list, came in on budget but still got several nice surprises. I bought more last year but I wasn't as well organised then and ended up with some poorer choice purchases.
    Val.

I was going to head to Edinburgh Fort this morning but took the wee one to Toddlers instead. I was in Musselburgh Boots to but by the time I got there there was very little left!! I treated myself to a John Frieda Blond set for £2.43 though :D
Finally, I can see you crystal clear
