I went to my local one in North London, it's a fairly big store (with two floors) I was in town yesterday as well so I checked that there was plenty in stick.

Got there daed on 9am, not really anyone around, tonnes stil in stock. Gradually more and more people arrived and really popular stuff started selling out, though there was plenty of certain items when I left- the st tropez sets, ted baker gift set, lots of hair stuff, men's £50 fc large tins.
Most people were really polite- no pushing or shoving, there were just two men who were a bit shovey and the buggy brigade ladies (in fact there seemed to be an army of those!) who were deliberately blocking shelves with their buggies so that people couldn't get to them, oh and one particular lady who emptied each shelf of all the most popular things (literally 10 or more of the same items) I'm guessing she's an ebayer, which I suppose is fair enough really but I think boots should do some sort of limit- even just being allowed no more than 5 of the same item would make things so so much better for everyone.

I spent £40 ish (but saved £130!) just gutted they didn't stock my lovely Homer toasted sandwich maker :(

fave buy was my Elle Macpherson stuff- a vanity bag and a box of travel size bits as it worked out cheaper to buy them oin the gift sets than buying them from the bath section like I usually do.

hope everyone got at least some of what they wanted!

    Hi Louisa,

just wondering which London stores you 'did' today. Ta.

The toys I had in my cart were 75% off before the system went out but I didnt manage to check out. In store, full price.

Don't believe what they say in the stores as I went in to get an Iggle Piggle, which was in the full price section, but when I had it price checked it was 75% off.

I can't think that toys in store will be a different price from those online but I may be wrong

Quick silly question if I may ask, can I use the no7 250pointer from gift sets on clearance or can it genuinely only be used for full price stuff ? I know you cannot use on the sale gift sets?...

    TIA
Tried to use a 250 points voucher today but SA said not valid on sale stuff!(she didn't look whether any clearance or just pure sales in my basket.)

Little Chicken your posts have been so useful as we are in a similar bit of London I think.

I went to Sedley place this morn at 8am. Lots of stuff, not many people, but the stuff was moving off the shelves quickly. Lots of Dove sets which was great for me, lots of RM £50 red sets etc, elle McP stuff etc.

I've also been in the Holburn places etc and St Pauls. There was nothing in the sale in the latter, but there were some shelves with other toiletries reduced [deo, hair etc].

OMG - order through and ALL my items were still in my basket. I paid for next day delivery in the hope they will pick and send my order just in case they run out of stock before they got to my order on the free delivery option.

    Order value (inc delivery) £73.65
    Points 1772

Soooooo. eventually got £273.08 worth of goods delivered for £73.65 less points awarded means I've really paid £50.55

woo hoo order went through! All fixed :)
  • Hi there. I'm not a regular poster (or as clever about Boots points as the experts on here are!) but thought I'd add that I'd been at Glasgow Fort Boots store at lunchtime and there is very little sale stuff left. :(

I didn't actually realise the 75% sale was on instore - I was only popping into the pharmacy - but I scanned the shelves and they were practically empty. Mainly filled with Royal Jelly gift sets and photo frames - no No7 sets, No Ruby & Millie sets, No Soap & Glory sets.

Just in case it saves anyone a disappointing trip! :)
  • my basket still saying -£15! And generic error....ahhh!
