But we don't half talk!!I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0

Hi all
I'm still very new to this but already hooked and want to thank everyone for glitch info and funny thread/stories/poems!!
Done my first Boots shop since becoming a 'Bootser' and got some Pantene sachets and lots of points, and 2 blinkies (had to make 2 purchases as also wanted to use my £2.50 hc voucher) which I promptly spent on 2 No7 clearance items priced at £5 each - until now I NEVER made use of these vouchers - why oh why I ask... so thank you for making me see sense!!
Re Olay GWP - are these the purple round box set which were scanning for free please?
Thanks again all

BEEZKNEEZ - (sorry, forgot to quote your post!)
Yes, you absolutely should!!!
I always get one and buy two /three packs at a time and split into seperate transactions when there are vouchers to be had - have also just picked out one of my receipts to double check and it is showing on there as a voucher earn and I only bought the formula in that transaction.
Next time you are in just ask one of the sa's for one - I have done this a couple of times when the girls have been restless (or nicking wispa's at the till, and at 17months old!!) and I have gone without noticing at the time, they always let me have one.0 -

i have never been given a promotional voucher when buying baby milk. Also you do not receive advantage points when buying it and you are not allowed to buy it using your points. The same goes for supermarkets and their bonus point schemes. Not sure why but it may be that some people on certain benefits get vouchers for free baby milk and therefore not actually parting with any money and therefore not entilted to points.0 -

It actually depends on which baby milk you are buying, as the first milks (i think up to 6 or 12 months old) are NEVER included in any promotions such as points gained on them or vouchers issued on them. It is the later stage milks and the follow on milks that you begin to receive points on and vouchers on.0 -

Good point - I buy the Hipp follow on milk which is from six months. Have never bought the early formula from Boots so wouldn't know their philosophy on it, I always got mine from Tesco.
I think the reason you don't get points is for the same reason as they doint give them on cigarettes - it is seen as an encouragement and reward to buy and as breast feeding is considered best, you are not therefore encouraged to formula feed!
Ahhh - can hear the babes waking up - time to go methinks!0
