  • Again, this might just be coincidence but I couldn't log in using Internet Explorer, but tried using Slimbrowser and was logged in first time (instantly), looked through stock, added to basket and and was able to go through to the payment page with no delays or errors.
    Give it a try - good luck all!!!!!

  • Morning all - I lost hope too was at laptop poised for action at 2:50 this morning with tea in hand - everything happened so quickly at 3:04 it kicked off and I lost heaps in my basket then got the generic error all because the soap and glory grab bag had gone oos. The -3 sign appeared in my basket and I could get no further.It let me log out and I opened a new window and ordered as a guest. It took ages, the first order at check out left me with a blank page. Second attempt took security details from my card holder (so I knew it was getting there, lol) after 10 mins and still a blank page I opened a new page and checked order history and it was there - order received have printed it off just incase. Long post - but might help someone.

    Bloody "generic application error"!! When I first logged in, I had £135 in my basket & now its showing MINUS £15.76!! Looks like everything has gone - !!!!!!!! All that time wasted, putting stuff in my basket. And nothing I'd put in my favourites list, in the hope they'd re-stock has come back into stock. It won't even let me add any "non-sale" stock items to my basket, it just keeps telling me the action can't be done because one or more of the items are not available & this is on ANYTHING I try to add to my basket. This website is pants!! And I'm suffering from girl-flu this morning, so thats not the best start to my day! Time for work, I think..........!!

    PS: If anyone goes instore & spots the Marc Jacobs Daisy sets (someone on here said they saw them in store in Portsmouth or was it Plymouth? - but I'm in Manchester) & would be so kind as to buy one, I will happily pay for the postage to get it to me!! I know, long shot & all that, but just thought I'd mention it!! lol!!

  • I think we just need to all get this into perspective, which is hard with lack of sleep and spending delirium, lol! Just like in a shop where staff physically has to remove old stock and promotions to make room for the new sale, this has to happen online. Generally, these happen in stages at the early hours of the morning when the least amount of people are known to be shopping! This is why some of us have been able to put things in our basket at new sale price, why others haven't, come the start of the working day everyone SHOULD be able to shop as normal! PATIENCE PEOPLE!

    slimbrowser not even getting onto the website for me:mad:

    but neither are Firefox, IE or Opera
  • that was final try kids getting up now got to place order and after 5/10 mins web page could not be displayed well mr b has lost out on 400 pounds worth of stock being sold will try shop to see if i get any bargains there

    GENERIC ERROR
    oK BL**DY fustrating.
    Here is how I got over it .

    1 -Go into history &clear out cookies .
    -2- refresh .Log out 7 in again.
    3- if it is still showing ADD SOME new things to basket .This should put it back to normal.
    4- IF not. Clear out temp internet files and repeat above .

    It is also now £40 for FREE delivery on items -I got Monday for delivery on thw hole 2 toys I bought.
