P:hew - I was only gone a few hours and seems like loads has gone on!!!!! I was at Boots at Cribbs in Bristol. They have a massive amount of sale stuff. Really good selection of everything except S & G. Decided not to bother buying online as much more available instore. SA told me sale instore 14th also.
Didn't see any Olay or L'Oreal old GWP there. There were a few things on the No 7 last chance stand but nothing I wanted. However I did find the No 7 clearance bits like the essential mini brush sets @ £1.96, ultimate file and buffer set compact @ £1.23 and ultimate moisture gloves @ £1.47. They also had eyelash curlers reduced to £1.72 and best thing was they were all on 3 for 2. I started with 1 blinkie and then ended up getting another 5 somehow!!! I also found some Tippy's makeup pads, 120 pads for 20p in clearance!!!!!
JK emery board reduced and so were the nail buffers of which I got 2 @ £1.23 each, wipes were also reduced to 89p. Lots of other stuff around the nailcare section on clearance.
Found R & M Kabuki Brush and bought for 50% off @ £3.91 and the R & M mirror and case again 50% off @ £2.93. I tried to buy these with the blinkie but it would not take it - I managed to break the SS till and the SA tried her hardest to over ride on the till for me to no avail!!! There were loads of the R & M Christmas sale stuff.
I bought a pink Boots travel hairdryer reduced from £14.67 to £7.49 also. They had some really cheap bigger hair dryers also on clearance.

I also bought the last 2 sachets of Pantene repair masque also!!

Sorry such a long post but may be useful to any Bristol Bootsers!!!!!!

    I'm exhausted now!!!!
  • How much are the pantene sachets guys??

Im going back to my local boots tomorrow, spent £25 today and i didnt get a R&M voucher!!how rude!

And what sets are the S&G ones that are the gwp does anyone know??

    thanks xx

Thank you very much for explaining that. See, life is a learning curve! I won't take advantage of your idea this time, but the 90% may entice me!

But now I know, and I agree with Bronclo, it's an excellent idea. And I also agree that it's difficult to imagine if someone's being sarcastic, light-hearted, or totally ignorant, when they ask a question.

Off to "Buddy" tomorrow, via Barking, Piccadilly and Bond Street, and will report back on the fullness/emptiness of their shelves.

Sorry - Off topic, but SandraScarlett, You remind me of my nan ( really not being rude, she was my idol) She is no longer with us, but I remember being taken to the local shopping centre by her and her sister. and when I think back, the trips were just the same as the description of your trip with your booting friend.

I was taken from shop to shop and back again, hunting out all the bargains.

She died 25ish years ago but I vividly remember being in Woolworths with her when she had a stand-off with another woman over the last Silver Cross hard bodied dolls pram (i still have it, 30 years later!)

We were always out for hours, only stopping in Wimpy for lunch. I always came home really tired, but always so happy that I had spent another day with the best nan in the world and her crazy sister.

I bet you are so much fun when you look after your DGD and DGS.

Anyway, back on topic. Whats a Blinkie:p ;):p
