No our IB wasn't income related -- but I was on middle rate and DH was on long-term high rate.

DH had been on IB since Jan 2007. I moved off SSP - and company sick pay - onto IB in October 2007. It was at this point I completed the IS forms, but we got ISMI after 8 weeks because of the special rules then in place for those on DLA (which DH had at high rate for both elements).

The IS application was initially turned down - as was my seperate application for help with Council Tax. But a couple of weeks later I received notification we'd been awarded ISMI, and very shortly after that I received a notification from the Council that we had a rebate of some sort on the CT too -- I didn't actually need to reapply for that ;)
