MumofFour - my feeling is that the donation might be to a charity but you're not a charity, youre a business - why should you donate under pressure to something when you are not even going to get a table there? I think this woman is being a bit unrealistic to expect that of you. If you wanted to donate something to a charity, do it to something you choose rather than by being pressurised...I think its a bit of a cheek really!
Hope your DS1 is ok? Poor thing!!Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T0 -
Mumoffour I agree with supermum, you have four children of you own and in these times things are really tough. I would tell her maybe next year
. Looking forward to seeing you on thursday, its going to be a long day lol and I still have loads to do.

Lol, this is true, and I also have DDs 8th birthday on the 11th of this month and DS1s 15th birthday on christmas eve........I just felt a bit pressured by her, and was trying to reason in my head why would I be doing this......if it was for a charity then maybe....but I dont even know that it was, she never specified, that kind of pressure isnt welcome in my eyes. I shall tell her no when she rings....and hopefully not feel guilty about doing so!!
Thursday is tomorrow isnt it????......Aaarrrggg:eek::D
what time is set up at, and what time does it start at? I havnt heard from archie......I sent a postal order to him last week! and he gave me my table number on the phone the night i rang him.....but other than that nothing!!!:jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0 -

There's a Victorian Fair Day in Markethill on a Saturday in August each year that always has big crowds, music and craft stalls.0

Well..........Slieve Donard, was mmmmmm.............slow, tireing, and whilst I sold some things and handed out flyers (loads which is always good:)) I was expecting more..I covered the price of my table and then a bit on top!!!
It was so fantastic to meet Belle87, Book Lady, Choco YUM YUM and of course Harley girl, who I know from my first fair!!!
Ok found out about another fair when I was there.....its in kilkeel next sat....its for the girl guides and the person to contact is siobhan her number is 02841762220.....the last girl guides fair i went to was well attended so if your from the vacinity then maybe give her a ring!!:):jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0 -

Is it me or are the fairs far more hard going this year??? The last few I have done I have taken about 1/2 of what I would have expected. And at last nights fair, we even caught some children who stole a handful of our lucky dips!! Didnt have the heart to tell the school, but husband got one kid to empty his pockets and found a load of goodies - the kids response??? "Oh, I thought they were free"...I ASK you! We are finding most parents and relatives are treating fairs as a free way to sit in the warm and pay for a cheap cup of coffee whilst letting their kids run riot around the stalls....anyone else??!!! Must be a sign of the times...sigh.Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T0
