Hi Belle, spoke to Leanne yesterday, the extra fair is going ahead on 23 December. She emailed me a form and I've booked myself in (can't do the start of December one as I'm elsewhere). See you there!:D

  • 1. Just heard that Knocknagoney Primary School are having a fair Thursday 3rd December, 6.30 to 8.30 and are looking for crafters. They are based opposite Tesco Knocknagoney on the way from Belfast to Holywood.

Being a school fair you would need to tailor your goodies to the kiddie market and probably at pocket money and lower priced levels, but we always find school fairs great fun and quite successful for our stuff ranging from £1 to £10-ish.

To book a spot, give them a call on 90 768496, tables are only £10! OR I will bring the forms along to the Cregagh fair this Saturday if anyone else is going?

    2. Cregagh Methodist Church fair this Saturday from 10.30 to 3.30. Tables are £20 but that includes sandwich lunch plus teas coffees and traybakes. They are still looking for crafters PLEASE! Contact Susan Dunlop on 90457768.

    3. Crawfordsburn Primary School is the same night as Knocknagoney above. Its been running several years and is always a very tight community based fair with great support and lovely atmosphere. Not sure how much the tables are, but would be worth giving them a ring. We are going to do 2 on the one night!

hiya, im not a crafter perse, but i have a 2year old daughter and am interested in getting some craft materials for her and I to make stuff with when it is as horrible day as it is today. Is it this kind of thing that you sell at the stalls and fairs, or am i on the wrong bandwagon? i only live down the road from knocknagoney primary school, so would be handy for me this weekend...?? any advice greatly recieved,
    thanks Carla.

  • Hi Carla, personally I dont sell stuff for crafting, it is more that we sell handmade goods at fairs like jewellery, bath bombs, handbags, jams, knitted goods etc. However, living just down the road from Knocknagoney, have you tried the newly HUGE tescos for crafting materials - they have quite a big section full of all sorts of stuff in the left as you go in, sort of in the cards and gifts section, which I thought looked really good for basic materials. Other than that maybe someone else might be along here with some other ideas. Oh, also, creative cakes at Ballyhackamore sells lovely ribbons etc for crafting. Do come along to the fair anyway though - it should be good fun!! (And Santa will be there ;-)

    Hey All,

Quick question, as you all know I'm new to this and have finally plucked up the courage to do a fair, however do I need a name?! They are asking for the name of the stall and I really dont have one! Is this really important?!?!

    Thanks in advance
