Hi, lots of empty units in Lisburn Square now but I've no idea who the Landlord is or whether it would be worth approaching him for one off daily rental of a unit once a month or something? (May be worth a try - he's getting no rental at all at the moment!!) Will try to find out more...
    hi rach
I think that is a good idea. I know there is a farmers market on the first sat of the month in lis sq.believe its just food but we would compliment that quite nicely i think. Worth at least giving a ring i think.
One thing i have to find out abiut is public liability ins. I have my own that covers me. Im sure we would need one for the fair as a whole though... Umm will check it out

    Hi Tricia

I do handbags too! Always good to have a bit of healthy competition :) Im booked into a few craft fairs in the run up to christmas. Take a look on my site (everyone else can too of course). ALl my events are ones that I found on this brilliant thread! Oh except for one in Holywood at christmas. Im not at home now but will post the guys email address when I get back.
Regarding the craft fairs there are some that only accept handmade stuff but quite a few are just keen to provide a variety of things. There arent too many ppl doing bags so so far Ive had a good response. Im sure you will too.
Good luck with your business and if you ever wanna chat or exchange tips just drop me a line.

Hi What about outlet centre in Banbridge, allways draws good crowd and they have some spare units as well.

    Hi
I think they already run a fair once a month for handmade things. I believe its quite hardto getinto and im not sure if they would let us a space when they're running their own. However there is certainly no harm giving them a ring, esp with it coming up to christmas , you would think they would want more stalls. I'd say the handmade crafters might have a good chance at convincing them.
    I'll ring them and see

trying to think where would be a good place do any of you have youth clubs
    near by?

I think the student idea is great esp in the union. Sometimes queens can be a tough nut to crack though. You being a student though belle could help. I know one of the entrepreneurship lecturers so i'll see what i can do. It would be good though...

true, but i do know there was a lil fair held downstairs as you walk in the door to the left not very big area and it was a good enough turn out. maybe good last resort lol

I agree with you cause when I think of it you can pay a fortune for some of these shows and are lucky to cover your costs. If you hear anything keep me in mind although I work Wednesday + Saturday at my other job so those days don't really suit.
