Hi Louise - welcome to the merry rabble!! I dont have a landline for the organiser of Ballyclare, only a mobile if that might do? Otherwise I just emailed him and he took a couple of days to come back to me. Get the feeling my question re it being covered is being avoided, and therefore presume it is not covered - if it rained this would totally ruin my stock (Im not being a feeble stallholder who only likes warm weather - there is a genuine reason!!) so I think I may have to give it a miss - wish these simple sorts of questions could be answered straight away!

    Hi Supermum

I have got in touch with the organiser and think I have a pitch. I found out though you have to provide your own stall which is prob why he was avoiding replying to you. Luckily I have a friend with a market stall so Im hoping I will be able to use that. I might think about buying one in the future though. You can get them very reasonably from market-stalls. That is where she got hers and its great.
Hope to see you at one of these events!

oh ps I totally agree with the lack of fairs in and around belfast this christmas. I am considering the hillsborough autumnfest (not sure if its been mentioned here before) but its £45 from 5.30 to 9.30. I think its a bit dear.

Please, please don't worry, no matter what you are among friends! Plan your table beforehand - set it up in your living room if you like! It helps if you price everything individually or display a list of prices (a lot easier!) You'll find generally people will say nice things or nothing at all so don't worry about abuse! What is your craft? whatever you make, you have to believe someone will buy so just give it a go - I do kids parties as well as craft fairs and find them much more daunting! ;)
thanks rach39 my crafts is bits of everything! you can see some of them on my blog

i got this email from belmont tower

Thanks for requesting information on our upcoming craft fair.
Our plans are to hold a monthly craft fair, on the first Saturday of each month, excluding January, from 10am – 4pm.
We hope to have 20 traders indoors. Outside, we will have a fresh farm produce stall, a cheese maker, a bread baker & a flower stall.
Tables will be £15.00 initially until it becomes better known, and then £20 - £25.
At the moment, I am building up a database of people that are interested in taking a stall.
We have already filled the November slots for the Fair, but will deciding the December fair sometime in October.
I can not guarantee spots for the December fair, as we have had loads of applications.

As we can only fit approx 20 crafters in the building at one time, our aim is to have a fair that’s always fresh and new, with different crafters coming each month, thus allowing everyone (hopefully) a turn. This is good for you as a crafter and the customers.

I have attached an application form and a copy of the conditions.
Please send it back as soon as you can, and then you will be on our database.
If you are selected for the December Fair, I will be in touch.

    Kind Regards
