Hi, I started at church/school fairs to test the ground. I did contact Belfast City council re xmas market & St Georges market and was directed to European company who run City Hall Xmas market, the price for hiring a cabin etc was crazy for what I am selling. I just do ye old stall fairs now at church etc, & find older people who can't travel too far love them & are inclined to buy because goods are hand made. Good luck

    Hi Craft Eddie

Could you poss tell me what kind of price the European Company was charging for city hall? Ive been trying to get them but have had no joy!

    Thanks

    L

lol it's not normally a problem not having enough stock with you!! More like the hassle of putting it all back in the car when everyone's finished rummaging through it and not bought anything! I'm finding the fairs are not busy enough on the whole to do this full time and make any real money (one or two exceptions, but generally) so you have to really enjoy the craft you do to make it worthwhile. I work full time Mon - Fri and believe it or not this is a hobby and how I choose to spend my weekends - must be mad! Why not book in to one of the cheaper ones - you never know....!;)

Did anyone else get an email inviting to craft fairs at Slieve Coombe on 6, 13 and 20 December? If so, do you know any more details - ie where is this place?! also, is there a cost and is a shelter included? Email was 3 pages long but I couldn't find any of this info! Have emailed the organiser too so if I hear more detail will post here x

Thanks Irishgirl - looks lovely doesn't it but still not sure how viable on 3 cold Sundays before Christmas!! Do you have any experience of how busy it would be, my concern is that it's a bit remote x
