Can't access Scottish Power website?

I send in my meter reading to Scottish Power at the end of every month through their website with no problem. However, I've been trying once or twice every day for the last week to do this, but can't get the website to load up. I get the 'waiting for ...' message, but that's usually as far as it goes.

Today I did get on to a web page which was headed up as Scottish Power, but looked nothing like the usual one (no pictures, small blue text) but that just froze.

Is anyone else having problems? I don't know what I'm doing wrong as I have the page bookmarked in my favourites.

Fine for me - have you tried using a different browser?

    Thanks for info.

I've tried again but no success in loading site. We have 3 computers in house and have made no alterations to settings on any, so don't know what the problem is.

I've phoned around and no one else is having problems whether they are using Internet Explorer like me, or Firefox. I've no trouble with any other website and have been using Scottish Power site for several months perfectly happily.

I've only received the 'autoresponse' to my e-mail sent to them on Monday, but I've sent off another e-mail today asking if perhaps the problem is Scottish Power blocking my ISP (Virgin - blueyonder). Other than that, it's a complete mystery, but will be very inconvenient as I use the on-line account service.
  • I have had the same problem for about the last week. I also use Virgin Media for internet access and have tried various browsers and computers in my house with no success. All other websites have been fine.

Have you had any more luck yet or any response to your emails to them?

The website is working fine for me.
I can not download pdf invoices but you can still save and print your bill in GIF format by right clicking on the image of the bill on the screen.

I don't usually print a copy of my bills i just save them to my computer by right clicking on the bill and clicking save picture as.
Once you have saved the bill to your computer you can zoom in on the page.

Just a quick update in case anyone else is affected by this.

When I 'googled' the problem I was directed to another forum and found it being discussed there. Seems it is a known problem when using Virgin blueyonder. Instructions were given on changing the ISP address and when I did this I could load Scottish Power website with no problem.

I don't know why this should affect only one website, or suddenly happen after being on-line with SP for months, but at least I can access site again now.

Be Happy could you tell me how to change the ISP address so I can get onto Scottish Power to enter my readings.

    Thanks
