Alliance & Leicester £100

I started the process of transferring my bank account from Abbey to Alliance & Leicester back in September 2008. As yet I have still to receive the £100 they (A&L) were giving as an incentive. Should I still be able to receive this incentive? As of today I have found out that, they won't give this incentive if the applicant has previously had an Abbey bank account within the last 3 months. This "rule" wasn't on their web site when I started the transfer process.
I was given an account number from 15th September 2008.

Any advise?
