Oh Olive! You'd just reconciled yourself to the weirdness of being df, and this happens - I'm so sorry to hear your cat died. Erm, I'm not surprised to hear Popeye thought you were joking tho - that doesn't sound like your "voice" on here at all, a bit of shock in there, I think? How are you now?

We've chatted on Skype and I apologised

I guess I was just trying to be "matter of fact" as by then I had returned to work and (of course) not mentioned why I had been so long.

So now I have assembled all the unopened cat food to give to my Dad for their cats on Saturday. I've washed the cats dishes, having put the uneaten food out for Mr Fox. (Cat & Fox used to have quite amusing stand offs in the garden ) And I went to throw one of his toys away (a banana, his favourite) and the wind blew the cat flap...........

Yep, it isn't that easy, is it? My cats died about a year apart, and when the second one had gone, I gave away the lovely wicker cat baskets - I took them to a vet's who sold them for charity, I couldn't bear the thought of profiting from their deaths - walking into the waiting room of that vet's was the hardest thing I'd done in a long long time.

Don't throw everything at once, Olive - thats my way of coping, anyway.

Well we're in the death throes of our debt now. Popeyes money is winging it's way to my account and I have settlement figures for a loan (we won't settle early the 2 loans that finish in March & April :rotfl:but our contingency fund/savings more than cover the outstanding 9 installments ) The 0% cc will be paid off, the o'drafts will be cleared and that will be it. I will no longer qualify to post a diary here

But I'm taking away good habits
Today I have played Bingo, dispatched 2 books sold on Amazon, have a carrier bag of 3 evening dresses to sell through the local dress agency and have brought in my lunch :cool:
There's a survey in my inbox, the beginnings of a meal plan for next week in my bag and a bill I am going to query. So small things.

And somehow Popeye and I will have to survive on one income, and even more importantly, only spend this bonus ONCE (ooooh the temptations ) So I may be leaving here, but it is for new adventures, and of course I will continue to keep up with my fellow DFW diaries :A
