I use the bags that cereals come in, just slit down the middle and trim to fit the trays (got an Excaliber one), they probably aren't as good as the proper all singing dancing liners but it works well for me especially with the fruit leathersHonorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. I am ready to get going with my dehydrator again. I have made massive use of the mushrooms, baking apples, onions and peppers that I dried 2 years ago and now the store cupboard needs stocking up with them. I have made fruit leathers and dried all sorts in the past but the above 4 are those that really earn their money for me.
Has anyone seen any sign of reasonably priced bramleys, peppers and onions yet? we pick our own mushrooms but not until october or so0 -
i thought id treat myself to one of these and it came yesterday
so today im going the the mountains of apples from my apple tree to dry

Thinking about buying a dehyrator mainly for apples. The prices seem to vary from £27 (Westfalia) to £100s.
Can anyone recommend a make and model?0 -

I follow The small cottage holder blog and she recently bought the £27 Westfalia model and swears by it."Who’s that tripping over my bridge?" roared the Troll.
